After the press conference, the DL executives had planned a celebration dinner for the evening.
But Janina politely declined.
She knew all too well the two-faced nature of those hypocrites.
Just moments ago, they were ready to abandon Meridian and champion Luna.
Upon learning she was Muse and could bring the company immense profit and prestige, they instantly switched to a fawning demeanor, showering her with the most insincere praise.
She had no interest in associating with such opportunistic and artificial people, much less enduring their fake pleasantries at a celebration dinner.
Tonight's celebration was, of course, reserved for her family and best friends.
The venue was a VIP room at The Tasting Room.
West had already arranged for the chefs at The Tasting Room to prepare a feast. He then went home to pick up their parents, along with Liam and Joy, and bring them all to the restaurant.
It was a small gathering of about ten people, but they were the most important people in Janina's life.
The private room was filled with laughter and cheerful chatter.
"Nina, you were amazing! Today's press conference was absolutely mind-blowing!" Easton was still buzzing with excitement.
His sister was so incredibly talented. He had just looked up Muse's profile online and was at a loss for words to describe his shock.
"Yeah, yeah! Janina is our pride and joy!" Natalie chimed in, her eyes filled with admiration and pride.
West started to say something, but Janina quickly held up a hand to stop him. "I appreciate all the compliments, really. And thank you all for everything you did for me today. Now, let's eat before the food gets cold."
She was starving. After a long, busy afternoon, she was not only tired but also ravenous.
Grace placed a piece of braised pork into Janina's bowl.
"Your father and I may not have been there in person, but we were glued to the live stream. Our Nina is truly wonderful. Your father and I just want you to be happy, always."
Grace didn't mention how, when she saw the online trolls attacking Janina, she wished she could be Superman and fly to her daughter's side to protect her.
