If someone didn't value their own life, the restaurant probably wouldn't be able to stay open anyway.
The online commenters were not to be trifled with. With just a few keystrokes, their venom could drown a person.
It was no exaggeration. Stories of celebrities committing suicide after being unable to withstand online firestorms were all too common.
Melody was also caught in the crossfire. Several of her upcoming short dramas were put on hold, and no one dared to hire her for new ones.
Janina felt terribly sorry for Melody, who had been dragged into the mess because of The Tasting Room's controversy.
At that moment, Melody was at a spa with Maggie.
"Don't worry, just think of it as me taking a vacation. Maggie and I are at the spa. You should come relax, too."
With a facial mask on her face and treatment wraps on her hands, Melody couldn't text, so she had her phone on speaker.
"You guys go ahead. I'll come out and relax once this is all sorted out."
A trace of exhaustion colored Janina's voice. With The Tasting Room facing a potential shutdown, she was worried sick for West.
She also had shares in the restaurant. Whether for her own sake or West's, she was determined to get to the bottom of it.
"Okay. I've already sent my contacts out to find leads. The truth will come out eventually. I can't show my face right now; I need to keep a low profile for a few days," Melody's voice sounded muffled.
She was afraid of being attacked if she appeared in public and had been hiding at home for days. She had only dared to venture out for a spa day because Maggie was off work.
"Got it. Be careful, stay safe, and take a few extra bodyguards when you go out," Janina advised.
On that front, Janina had nothing to worry about.
Besides Maggie, Melody had brought four bodyguards.
She was not joking around; she valued her life.
After hanging up, Janina and her public relations team posted another clarification video online.
