Darian couldn't believe his friend would pull a stunt like that; he simply refused to accept it.
"I wouldn't have believed it either, but he really did!" Caden snapped.
He had personally driven the guy out of the city. Who else would know better what he was up to?
Hearing the certainty in Caden's voice, Darian didn't know what to say.
He ran away!
"Starla is going to tear you limb from limb. You're the one who smuggled him out of Marina City."
With all the chaos lately...
Starla had explicitly forbidden anyone from the Yelchin family from leaving the city limits.
And now, with Caden pulling a stunt like this, wouldn't she kill him?
Caden's head was already throbbing.
Hearing Darian spell it out made him want to pass out right there in the driver's seat.
"Don't remind me! Right now, I'm just praying she and Herbert show a tiny bit of mercy!"
"Oh yeah, Herbert. He's definitely going to want you dead too."
It went without saying how fiercely Herbert had been protecting Starla recently.
Not to mention, he was the one waiting for her divorce to be finalized.
And now, with this whole mess...
"I'd rather just drop dead right now!" Caden groaned.
"You need to get a hold of Fairfax."
"He blocked me."
"Oh... wow."
That wasn't just throwing someone under the bus; that was backing the bus up over them.
Getting out of Marina City at a time like this was nearly impossible.
By helping him escape, Caden had done him an unimaginably huge favor!
How could he just use him and then block his number?
It was terrifyingly cold-blooded.
"I seriously want to die right now," Caden muttered.
