It was already hard to believe that Bella was able to resist Hugo's intense advances. However, what surprised everyone the most was how Bella had declared that she already had a boyfriend.

Jack felt his heart flutter while the excitement in Hugo's eyes dimmed slightly. He had done his research and found out that Bella was never spotted with another man while on campus. How would she have a boyfriend if that was the case?

He assumed that Bella was just letting him down gently.

However, he quickly regained his composure by convincing himself that Bella must be testing him. He said, "Bella, I don't care that you have a boyfriend. Even if you do have one, I still have the right to fight him for you. I believe that my perseverance will bear fruit eventually.

"Won't you be my girlfriend, please? I promise to treat you well for the rest of forever, and I'll never leave or abandon you for the rest of our lives."

Bella frowned slightly while the more emotional women around her broke down in tears. Applause and hollering erupted among the crowd. Some shouted for her to accept his heartfelt confession.

The raucous energy eventually infected the surrounding people, and everyone began to chant for her to accept him.

The shouts were deafening. Even Magdalene and Cynthia joined in on the chanting.

Jack realized that the situation was rapidly spiraling out of control. He worried that Bella would concede under the immense pressure. Everything would be too late if that happened. Thus, he decided that it was time for him to take action.

Gripping the morning glories tightly in his hand, Jack strolled determinedly toward the sea of flowers as the people around them continued to pressure Bella to accept Hugo, forcing her into a tight spot.

There were some who noticed Jack approaching the couple, but they assumed that he was just too excited and wanted to cheer Hugo on since he and Bella were clearly the main characters of the entire event. They never would have expected that Jack was actually there to throw a wrench into Hugo's plans.

Magdalene's and Cynthia's jaws had also gone slack from shock. They couldn't believe that Jack had actually gone through with his words. They assumed that he had only been joking around, but he had actually meant every word that he said.
