The moment they stepped through the door, alarm bells rang loud and clear in Logan’s head. Something was definitely wrong!

“What on earth is going on here?!”

Matilda was equally baffled. Weren't these guys supposed to be Logan's classmates' older brothers? Why the sudden serious demeanor?

The name Plum Resort echoed in her mind—wasn’t that the place Yvan had mentioned angrily to his grandmother in the hospital?

“Wait a second—” Matilda called out from the doorway, “What did you find out? What’s this about Godfrey and Chloe? Logan, since when did you—”

Logan stepped forward, taking Matilda’s trembling hand in his, and whispered, “Don’t be afraid, I’ve got this.”

The calm and rationality in his young eyes were beyond his years, making Matilda pause in awe. Snapping back to reality, she quickly gathered her thoughts, “Is Chloe in trouble?”

“That’s right. It looks like Godfrey went to ask Mr. Boyd for help,” Logan said cautiously. “So, they’re now headed to Plum Resort, probably to lend a hand. But I can’t figure out why Godfrey would seek Yvan’s help. Unless... there’s something tying them together…”
