The young boy's voice was fearless, reminding Yvan of the day when the Jungle Union was ambushed. Despite shaking with fear, those determined eyes refused to back down.
Ah, yes... This was Logan, clever as a fox, fearless of both heaven and earth.
Yvan chuckled softly, a cold laughter that carried a calming strength. "Alright then."
Logan kept pace with Yvan, as they made some quick changes to their team. Soon, Carl was driving, with R7CKY and Ventus in tow, heading straight for the abandoned warehouse.
Located on the outskirts between Sea City and Whty City, it took them an hour to get there. During the journey, R7CKY and Ventus were constantly on their devices, tracking to ensure Orson hadn't moved. When they arrived, the warehouse vicinity was deserted.
"Be careful," Yvan whispered, "our guys are still on the way."
R7CKY's earlier frivolity had vanished, replaced by a somber demeanor. "Who did you call?" he asked, sliding a bullet into his gun.
One by one, he loaded, Yvan with an icy gaze, said, "Declan."
"I should've known."
R7CKY whistled, pointing the gun at Yvan in a swift move, the air charged with a sudden tension.
Surprised by Yvan's unflinching demeanor, R7CKY squinted, "You know my background, and the grudges of the past... Why call Declan? Aren't you afraid I'll kill him?"
Despite the gun pointed at him, Yvan was fearless. He always did as he pleased in Sea City, never fearing anything or anyone.
Fuming, R7CKY waited until Declan's men messaged they had covertly surrounded the area, ready to rush in if needed. They advised Yvan's group to move in first, promising backup at a moment's notice.
Yvan glanced at Logan, "Stay in the car, or come with us?"
"Is that even a question?" Logan grinned, "Let's go."
For Matilda, he wouldn't back down!
They parked the car off the beaten path and surveyed the area as they approached the warehouse, crouching to stay out of sight. Ventus hacked into the warehouse's security, disabling nearby cameras to cover their tracks.
Yvan was the last in line, with Logan safely in the middle. They learned that Chad's car had left Sea City, likely disrupting his plans due to Hadrian's disappearance. It seemed safe for now, but they remained cautious, aware that Chad might have left guards behind.
