A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 347

The voice on the other end of the line raised a notch, "Alright, kiddo, I'm off to hang out with the little princess."

With that, the voice cut off, and the computer screen went black for a moment before immediately popping back up with the code input interface. It seemed like this was his way of testing Logan's skills.

Taking a deep breath, Logan began furiously typing on the keyboard, with countless numbers and symbols scrolling down the screen at a visible pace. The boy was entirely focused on his monitor, losing track of time completely.

Two whole hours later, after cracking the code, an anxious voice came from outside the door, "Logan? Are you in there?"

Startled, Logan quickly stuffed everything into his backpack and then deliberately made a loud noise. The teacher hurried over to the last stall of the boys' bathroom.

The door was unlocked, and as the teacher pushed it open, they found Logan on the floor, his eyes red, rubbing his head and looking utterly dejected.

"What... what happened to you?" the teacher exclaimed in shock. "Did you hit your head?"

Logan, known for his good looks and charm, was considered a treasure by all the teachers. His disappearance during lunch break had worried them, and now here he was, suddenly reappearing. The teacher immediately helped him up, asking, "Are you hurt?"

Logan, with a look of innocence, said, "I wanted to study, but since everyone was napping, I came here to read in secret. But then I fell asleep..."

The teacher couldn't help but chuckle, seeing him with his big backpack, full of determination, and gently touched the spot where he had bumped his head. "Next time you want to study, come to the office. It won't disturb the students, and the teachers won't mind."

"Okay." Logan sweetly agreed.

Godfrey laughed, "Really? Next time she's back, I'll wear this. Weren't we talking about having a family dinner? Let's go to the supermarket for some groceries."

Having been close for a while, Matilda agreed without hesitation and they got into Godfrey's car. Logan leaned over and asked him, "How was work today?"

"Pretty intense, barely caught my breath." Godfrey loosened his tie, "I'll take you there next weekend to see."

Inside the supermarket, Matilda and Godfrey walked on either side of the cart, with Logan sitting inside, picking out items. When a photo of this scene was sent to Yvan's phone, the man nearly smashed his phone in rage.

"How come there's another man with her!" The handsome man fumed, "Find out where she is!"
