The commotion in the police station was like a thunderbolt out of the blue. Colleen, who had basked in the glory of being a wealthy socialite for so long, had never been so blatantly disrespected. Her son was bleeding, his head wrapped in bandages, and yet this despicable woman was still being defended by others.
"What's wrong with causing a scene at the station?!" Colleen roared, "I'm dealing with you shameless troublemakers!"
"Troublemakers, huh? Well, I see you're no lady of quality yourself! No wonder you raised a son who's a public menace!"
Hala rolled up her sleeves and stood by Matilda's side. Behind her was the intimidating Orson, and in front, the muscular Yoshi. Luna was filming the whole scene, and when someone tried to snatch her phone, Baxter, guarding her, sent them flying into a wall with a hefty slap.
"You... you... are you revolting against me?!"
Colleen glanced at the back of her son Mason's head, "My son is hurt because of you people! You think you can just walk away from this? Dream on!"
"Come on, scare you, did I? When I was digging up dirt for the tabloids, your fat pig of a husband was cuddling up with his mistress on vacation overseas! What are you so proud of, huh?" Hala, with her fiery presence and curvaceous figure, made a phone call, and within five minutes, a horde of media reporters appeared at the police station’s entrance.
"Did I hear Mason caused a disturbance at the station?"
"That's nothing. I heard his mother was trying to beat up a young woman in broad daylight!"
"Wow, she's that vicious?"
"Let's go in, get an interview, take pictures!"
Colleen had never expected someone to blow the lid off like this. Now, with so many media friends called to the scene, their phones were buzzing with articles headlined "Mason Accused of Indecent Assault, Mother Tries to Silence Victim with Violence," each more sensational than the last.
"Dude." Chase and Keaton Johnson were having dinner at home when they checked their phones. "Epic, our little bro is trending."
"What's up?" Keaton leaned over with a forkful of food, "Oh my God! Isn't that Matilda's profile?"
Chase let out a surprised yelp, "It looks like her! Call Yvan!"
Colleen had never met such tenacious women. Realizing that Matilda had brought this wrath upon her, she seethed with anger, reaching out to grab Matilda's clothes, "You wretched woman, I'll ruin you!"
Orson stepped in, shoving her back. It was rare for him to lose his cool, but when he did, his gaze was terrifying, "Back off!"
"Defending her, pretty boy?" Colleen, stripped of her grace, lunged with the crowd, "Get her! Beat that tramp!"
"Matilda!"
Yoshi kicked away an attacker, and along with Orson, shielded Matilda behind them. Orson was surprisingly swift and fierce in a fight, a stark contrast to his usual laid-back demeanor. Baxter, unable to hold back, grabbed a chair from the police station and started swinging it at their assailants, "Come on! I haven't thrown down in ages, let's have some fun!"
He broke the chair and armed himself with a leg, aiming straight for their noses, the wood slicing through the air with each swing. The station erupted into screams and curses as a full-on brawl broke out. Between the group fighting and makeshift weapons, chaos reigned.
Hala might look dainty, but she was ruthless in a fight. The way she had smashed a bottle over Mason's head earlier was proof enough of her ferocity. Protecting Luna, she snatched a baton from a cop's pocket, flicking it open with a snap and charging into the fray, "Orson, cover Matilda. Yoshi, help Baxter. Luna, let the media in. This old hag is mine to handle!"
