Chapter 63
Perhaps because, they hadn’t officially divorced yet, Matteo didn’t want to disturb the elderly lady and hadn’t had anyone touch her things.
She pulled her thoughts back, took a set of pajamas and a towel, and left the master bedroom to go to
Isabella’s room.
Isabella was sitting on the bed, playing with her tablet. When she saw the clothes in Freya’s hand,
she asked curiously, “Mommy, are you going to take a bath in my room?”
Freya replied, “Mmm.“”
She hadn’t been in the bathroom for long when Matteo entered Isabella’s room.
When he saw her glance towards the bathroom, Isabella said, “Mommy is taking a shower inside.”
Matteo, “Mhm.”
He then asked, “Did you ask your mommy to take a shower here?”
“No, Mommy brought her own clothes over.”
Matteo didn’t ask further. He spoke a few more words to her and told her to rest early before turning to leave.
In the bathroom, Freya heard some noise, knowing that Matteo had arrived, but she couldn’t make out what they were saying.
Isabella was still recovering from her illness. After taking medicine, she was prone to drowsiness. Seeing that it was getting late, Freya decided to lie down beside her on the bed after finishing her
shower.
Isabella nestled into her arms and rubbed her cheek against Freya’s shoulder. “Mommy, you smell so good and feel so soft,”
She felt that being in Mommy’s arms was the most comfortable place.
It was even more comfortable than Aunt Raven’s arms.

However, knowing that Freya didn’t like Raven, she didn’t say that out loud.
Isabella quickly fell asleep.
Freya, too, was tired and soon drifted off as well.
Ever since Isabella fell ill, she developed a habit of kicking the covers off.
Maybe it had become a worry, but Freya still took care of her just like she used to. She woke up
several times throughout the night, carefully covering her up each time to make sure she didn’t catch
a cold before going back to sleep herself.
That night, Freya didn’t sleep well, but she woke up as soon as it was dawn.
Isabella was still asleep. Freya quietly got out of bed and looked out the window. She saw that
She wasn’t completely well yet, but she was feeling better. She was also hungry, so after washing up, the went downstairs to eat.
