Chapter 15
Blake nodded repeatedly after listening to Natalie’s words, unable to contain the joy that kept his mouth from turning down.
Natalie discovered that he actually looked very handsome, especially when he smiled with his curved eyelashes, not fierce at all.
The two of them wandered around the building from top to bottom for a long time.
After discussing the design and layout, Blake suddenly changed the subject: “Natalie, the reason I retired is very simple.”
His deep eyes were filled with deep affection, and his tone was serious and earnest: “The mission was successfully completed, and I can say that I have experienced death once. I just want to come back and pursue my own happiness, and protect the people I want to protect.”
Natalie couldn’t move her eyes away under his gaze.
He blushed and turned his head away pretending to look at the decoration until he finished speaking.
Felix turned the corner and just happened to see this scene, his eyes widened with anger.
He rushed into the building, wanting to pull Natalie behind him.
But little did he know, Blake was faster than him, and in the blink of an eye, he was already standing in front of Natalie, saying, “Felix, do you dare to come looking for Natalie?”
Blake stared at him, his gaze sharp, exuding a chilling aura all around him.
Natalie lightly tapped Blake’s arm and stepped out from behind him, asking, “Is there some- thing else you need to talk to me about?”
Felix looked at Natalie’s indifferent face, his heart squeezed as if by a giant hand, making it difficult to breathe.
When Natalie used to look at him in the past, her eyes were always filled with love like wa-ter.
Now he can’t find any feelings.
His lips involuntarily twitched, too many words surged to his throat, leaving him unsure of where to begin.
Natalie furrowed her eyebrows and said, “Mr. Harrison, please leave if you have nothing else to discuss.”
He finally found his voice: “Natalie, will you come back with me? I already know every- thing, and Mabel has received the punishment she deserves. I will truly make up for the harm I caused you before!”
Natalie shook her head slightly, with a polite yet distant smile: “No one owes anyone any- thing, there’s no need for compensation, you can go.”
He reached out his hand to Natalie.
Blake took another step and stood in front of him.
His eyes red with emotion, he said urgently, “Everyone who has hurt you should repent!”
“Eddie had nine stitches on his head, Mabel had burns on her face, I will make sure she nev- er recovers, and I won’t let the Jefferson family off the hook either.”
“I also signed a voluntary bone marrow donation agreement myself. I am just waiting for someone to match, and then I will let them take my bone marrow.”
Natalie couldn’t understand his behavior.
I didn’t want to carry these burdens anymore. “Felix, it’s over between us! There’s no need to hurt anyone, including yourself, in my name.”
“Your actions were meaningless because I don’t need any compensation from you, and I don’t want to have anything to do with you anymore!”
