My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1953

"Are you… Are you Vivian? Mr. Atkinson's fiancée?" Mabel asked, still holding onto a sliver of hope.

She refused to believe it. The person in front of her couldn't possibly be the one. She must be an imposter.

Manfred's fiancée couldn't possibly exist. Nobody had seen her, and he couldn't have suddenly had a fiancée.

Vivian didn't know how to respond at first. Technically, she was indeed Manfred's fiancée. But three years had passed, and she thought Manfred had publicly dissolved their relationship.

But clearly, that wasn't the case.

She thought, "So what does Mabel mean to Manfred? Or was I mistaken yesterday? Maybe it's all been a misunderstanding fueled by the gossip about Manfred and Mabel."

After a brief hesitation, Vivian said calmly, "Now that you've seen me, what do you want to say?"

Mabel felt a strange unease rise within her. It was as though their roles had been reversed. Just yesterday, Mabel had been the one looking down on Vivian, offering her a chance to serve as a maid instead of a beggar.

Yet now, Vivian was Manfred's fiancée.

And Mabel was the one being questioned. That feeling was more unbearable than anything Mabel had ever felt before.

Taking a deep breath, Mabel's face hardened with hostility. "Who exactly are you? What is your purpose with Mr. Atkinson? I bet you're not really his fiancée. How did you manage to seduce him?"

With a look like that, Mabel believed that Vivian was some sort of manipulative fox. Most men couldn't resist a woman like her.

Maybe Vivian was sent to seduce Manfred, a spy ready to strike at any moment.

Others might be easily deceived, but Mabel wouldn't be.

Vivian's voice remained calm as she responded, "You already know who I am. As for whether or not I'm Manfred's fiancée, you have your answer. Now, it's my turn to ask you. What is your relationship with Manfred?"

"Ms. Martin, she's Deputy General Lynch's sister. She has no connection with Mr. Atkinson!" One of the maids, quick to notice, hurriedly spoke up, afraid that Vivian might misunderstand.
