My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1966

Kemp had no idea how shameless Mabel could be. She dared to speak of marrying Manfred.

With the way Manfred had been behaving lately, Kemp wondered if Mabel was truly blind to it.

"Mr. Atkinson probably doesn't even remember her name. I can vouch for it—Mr. Atkinson only has eyes for you, Ms. Martin," Kemp said quickly.

Vivian paused for a moment, then shook her head. "It's fine."

When she saw Mabel again, she was indeed surprised. But the surprise was quickly replaced by a sense of pity.

Mabel snapped, enraged by the woman's words, "What do you know? You'll never meet Mr. Atkinson in your life, but the bond I have with him is something you could never even imagine. I'll be back in Vlario soon, and once I marry Mr. Atkinson, all you'll have left to do is envy me!"

She spoke with such arrogance, as though it were a certainty. She acted as if she would really return to Vlario and marry Manfred.

Mabel still believed her stay here was just temporary. Cody doted on her so much, and soon Manfred would realize that Vivian was nothing but a seductress and then remember Mabel.

She was sure she held a special place in Manfred's heart.

After all, Manfred would never be tricked by that seductress for long.

Kemp couldn't hold it in any longer and scoffed. "Mabel, when will you wake up? Who gave you the right to slander Mr. Atkinson like this? When did Mr. Atkinson ever have feelings for you?"

If Mabel truly understood, she wouldn't be spreading such nonsense, trying to tarnish Manfred's reputation.

A few people washing clothes by the river heard a man's voice and quickly turned around.

They froze when they saw Kemp standing there. He was handsome and poised, his presence commanding, and his gaze as he looked at Mabel was chilling.
