Chapter 854
Felix cleared his throat. “Luna, you should head back,” he said.
Luna was clearly flustered. The suite was cramped, and they were sitting close. The sounds next door were too much for her to handle, too.
“Oh… right.”
She stood up too quickly and lost her balance, landing right in Felix’s lap. She felt something pressed against her bottom. Their eyes met as she leaned back, and time seemed to freeze.
Instinctively, she kissed him. Though they had not spent much time together, what woman wouldn’t be drawn to a man like Felix? He was handsome, capable, and powerful enough to subdue even Reagan. He had captured her heart long ago.
The sudden kiss caught Felix off guard. He wanted to push her away, but his hands happened to land somewhere inappropriate. Combined with the constant sounds from next door, everything seemed to naturally progress from there.
After what felt like an eternity, Luna stood up, her face crimson.
“Luna” Felix began, but she cut him off.
She said, “I know, Felix. You don’t need to say anything. I was the one who wanted it. I’m not old–fashioned, and I know how exceptional you are.
“I’m lucky to have had this moment with you, even though I’m not worthy of it. You shouldn’t feel burdened by what just happened. I won’t cling to you.”
Felix thought Luna was understanding. He replied, “I’m sorry. I got carried away, too. If you ever need help with anything, just ask.”
Before leaving, Luna gathered her courage and added, “Felix, I know men from Dragonia sometimes fantasize about women from my country. Next time you’re in Astoria, I’ll arrange everything exactly how you like it.”
Felix smiled wryly as he watched her leave. Her level–headedness explained why Kyro trusted her with the family business. Most people would not handle this situation so calmly.
After landing, Luna exited first as May was waiting at arrivals.
“Luna!” They hugged, and May looked her over. “Is it just me, or do you seem more radiant? Come on! Spill it! Did you meet someone?”
Luna blushed at the memory on the plane. “Stop teasing me! Let’s go.

Keeping a low profile near the exit, Felix smiled as he watched the two women leave, chatting and laughing. While he could not give Luna a home, he would always look out for her.
Since he was single now, he was free to do as he pleased. Why should he be bound by that
