Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1916

That night, my uncle had a bit too much to drink, and Alec and I managed to snag a mysterious potion from him.

Once we got home, we were both itching to figure out what this intriguing elixir could do. I was all for taking a swig right away, but Alec wasn't so sure about drinking something with unknown origins. He thought it might be some fancy aroma oil, judging by its tantalizing scent.

Neither of us was backing down, so we settled our little debate with a game of rock-paper-scissors. No surprise, I won, so Alec had to go along with my plan.

We each took a sip, polishing off the bottle in no time. The taste was definitely strange, but not awful.

“Feel anything?” I asked.

“Nope, you?” Alec replied.

“Nothing on my end either.”

We both felt the same—absolutely nothing. Alec sighed, “I told you, we should've just used it as an aroma oil.”

But soon enough, we started feeling sleepy. Just before I dozed off, I muttered, “Great, no one mentioned this was a sleeping potion.”

And with that, I was out like a light.
