Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1870

Kiran's mom was rocking a sky-blue dress with a light shawl draped over her shoulders. She looked just as stunning and graceful as she always did in photos. In her arms was a tiny baby girl, no older than a year.

“Mom?” Kiran was taken aback.

“Kiran, where’s the bottle?” his mom asked, rummaging through the living room.

Just then, the housekeeper appeared from the kitchen with the bottle in hand. “Madam, here it is.”

“Oh, it was here all along. Gave me quite a scare,” his mom said, cradling the baby, Sandy, and calming her down with the bottle.

“Mom...” Kiran could hardly believe his eyes. The woman before him was indeed his mother... his actual mom.

“What’s up?” she asked, noticing the look on Kiran’s face. “Are your studies wearing you out? I’ve told your dad so many times not to put so much pressure on you, but he just doesn’t listen! Let’s ditch today’s lessons. You’re already so smart, Kiran. No need to cram all that knowledge.”

The secretary nearby looked uneasy. “Madam, I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”

If Mr. Angelo found out, there’d be hell to pay!

“Why not? He’s my kid, and I won’t have him suffer,” his mom said firmly, scooping up the financial textbooks from the table. “Kiran, let’s hit the amusement park.”

“Mom...” Kiran wanted to protest, knowing today’s lessons were important. But his mom had already handed Sandy over to the housekeeper. “I’m taking my son out for some fun. If Caelum’s got a problem, he can talk to me!” she declared.
