Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1795

Sophie seemed completely taken aback by the man in front of her. Seeing her expression, Odie couldn't help but question if he'd been too harsh earlier. Why else would Sophie look at him like that? Right, this was the beginner version of Sophie, not the confident, savvy Sophie who could match his wits any day. The Sophie standing before him now was just an ordinary girl.

Odie took a moment to think. How do you even talk to an ordinary girl? He looked puzzled; interacting with everyday girls wasn’t something he'd ever done. Sophie seemed scared to death of him, her eyes wide like she was staring down a wild animal.

"Dude, that's not how you go about winning a girl's heart!" one of the guys chimed in. "I get that Sophie’s quite the sensation here at school, but you're way too intense!"

During the break, two guys sauntered over, casually draping their arms around his shoulders. It was clearly their first encounter, yet they acted as if they were old pals. This irked Odie.

He frowned, saying coolly, "Hands off."

In his world, not just anyone could buddy up to him like that. In real life, if someone heard Odie talk like that, they'd probably back off, maybe even apologize. But these two college kids didn’t seem bothered at all; instead, they cheekily patted him on the shoulder.

"Come on, man, we're all dudes here! If you’re really into her, we’ll help you out! Anyway, we're classmates now. Once we grab our textbooks, let’s hit the basketball court. Tonight, dinner’s on me at the Westside Diner."
