Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1787

Before the owner even had a chance to react, Fiona was already making a scene. "Help! Someone come check this out! The owner is attacking people! He sold fake snacks that made my brother sick, and now he's going after a student in a fit of rage!"

Curious onlookers began to gather, drawn in by the commotion. Fiona was really putting on a show, channeling all her dramatic flair and nerve.

"Do you even know who I am, little girl? Trying to pull a fast one on me, are you?" the owner scoffed, his arrogance showing no sign of being dented by Fiona's antics.

"My brother got sick from your snacks, and you owe us an explanation. If you don't, we'll call the cops and have your shop shut down!" Fiona was persistent, not backing down an inch.

Sensing that he was up against a formidable opponent, the owner quickly shifted his approach. "Alright, alright, you're students, and I'm just trying to run a business here. If you really got sick from my snacks, I'll make it right. But causing a scene out here isn't good for anyone. Let's go inside. I've already called an ambulance; it should be here soon. You can't just leave your brother lying out here, can you?"

"Fine, take us inside then. And until that ambulance shows up, you're not opening your shop. Who knows if your bad snacks might harm someone else?" Fiona agreed without skipping a beat.

Alec, who was supposed to be pretending to be in pain on the ground, was genuinely feeling uncomfortable. Did Fiona even realize what kind of mess she was getting them into?

But with Fiona already agreeing, the owner signaled his staff to carry Alec inside. Once Fiona and Alec were inside the small convenience store, the owner had the big metal shutter pulled down with a clang.

"Idiot!" Alec pulled Fiona behind him protectively.

Seeing that the pair were faking it, the owner sneered, "I knew you two were up to no good! Today, I'll show you who's really in charge around here!"
