"No need to explain any further."
Sophie said with a smile, "We're still friends, make sure to visit more often when you're free."
"Will do."
Outside the Aldridge estate, Kiran's ride had already arrived.
After Sandy left, Elodie commented, "Well, that's just great. We were already busy, and with Ms. Sandy gone, it's going to be even busier."
"Indeed, even busier."
Sophie shook her head.
Just thinking about the pile of work waiting for her at the office gave her a headache.
"Wait a minute, we're all this busy, how come Harold isn't around to help?"
Elodie frowned, usually, if there was any trouble, Harold would be the first to help them tackle the mess, but since the last trip from the valley, Harold had been conspicuously absent.
"Mr. Gordon mentioned he had commitments; he's probably even busier than us these days..."
Thinking it over, Harold's situation might not be any better than theirs.
"Gordon, huh..."
A slight smile appeared on Elodie's face.
"I remember Ms. Elodie and Mr. Gordon are quite familiar with each other."
"Familiar might be overstating it, I just owe him a favor."
Elodie said, "I used to wonder what kind of woman would be suitable for him. Then I realized, a man as ruthless to others, and especially to himself as he is, will probably end up alone for life. Now, I don't even think about it anymore."
