Kiran looked at Sandy and replied with a heavy heart, "Yeah, I've taken many lives today."
Sandy felt a chill run through her. So it was true—her brother had really taken out the Gibbs family.
"Can't you just stop with the killing, big brother?" she asked, her voice soft and a bit pleading. Normally, whenever she asked for something this way, Kiran found it hard to say no.
But this time, Kiran's tone was serious as he said, "Sandy, the world we live in is ruthless. It's kill or be killed. I'm doing this to keep our family safe, for the thousands of employees who rely on us, and for you."
After saying that, Kiran seemed to regret his words a bit and quickly added, "Just stay put overseas for now. I can’t guarantee everyone’s safety, but I can at least make sure you’re okay."
Sandy was puzzled. The Pollard family was so powerful overseas, almost untouchable. Who could possibly pose a threat to them? Could The Silent Shadows, as Sophie had mentioned, really be that formidable?
Meanwhile, at the S&C Nightclub overseas, Sophie was busy managing Kiran’s overseas operations. Cassidy handed her some classified intel they had gathered from members of The Silent Shadows.
As Sophie scanned through the information, she noticed it consisted of industry leaders, entertainment icons, and powerful business figures. It seemed like anyone with wealth or influence had some connection to The Silent Shadows.
