"What are you doing? Seriously, do you even know who I am? Where's your boss? Have you all lost your minds?"
Among the captured businessmen, many were shouting in outrage.
Meanwhile, Sophie's car pulled up at S&C. Cassidy approached Sophie, handing her a clean cloth. Sophie stepped forward, stuffing the cloth into a businessman's mouth. She flashed a slight smirk and said, "Mr. Robert, it's been a while."
The moment Mr. Robert recognized Sophie, he broke out in a cold sweat.
Meanwhile, other business owners dragged from different rooms were tossed into the same one. Sophie settled into the sofa and said, "So, you’re all from The Silent Shadows, right?"
"What Silent Shadows? Never heard of it!" some of them protested, clinging to their denial.
Sophie nodded, continuing, "Well, the recent expenses at the nightclub, along with certain, shall we say, extracurricular activities, should be enough to get you a short stay in jail. Plus, the shady assets in your companies, by international law... well, that's economic crime, isn't it? With the massive sums involved, and the whole trading favors for influence thing... bribing officials, could that end up with a death sentence?"
"Boss, that's a death sentence," Cassidy chimed in right on cue.
Sophie chuckled, "I know The Silent Shadows and Kiran have showered you with perks, but I can't tolerate dirt in my eye. Since you're all the industry's bottom feeders... let's just part ways here."
"No! Please, no!"
The business owners were visibly shaken. They knew all too well the ruthless reputation of the Costello Group.
