Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1526

Mr. Donny's face was turning darker by the minute. Sophie was always one to stand her ground, and now he found himself stuck in a real pickle, feeling both ticked off and helpless.

He had assumed Colby had moved on from Sophie, but much to his surprise, Colby still had a soft spot for his wife, who was notorious for her flirtatious ways in the nightlife scene.

"Alright, I've had enough of this. If Ms. Gina is so keen on my husband, she can have him. I'll be waiting for the day you convince Colby to divorce me," Sophie remarked, her words sharp enough to silence anyone.

Kena, tagging along with Sophie, was impressed at how easily Sophie left the Spellman duo at a loss for words.

As they departed, Sophie didn't spare a glance at Colby, who was kneeling by the fountain.

The crowd couldn't help but think Sophie was being a bit overbearing. She was living her own life freely but wouldn't let her husband talk to any other woman.

Once Sophie had left, Gina hurried to help Colby up.

But Colby wouldn't budge or let Gina even touch him.

A security guard then approached and told Colby, "Mr. Colby? The lady who just left said you can stand up now," which finally got Colby to rise from the fountain.

Gina, eyes misty, said, "Mr. Colby, I'm really sorry... I never intended for this. I just didn't want Ms. Sophie to embarrass you like that. I only wanted you two to talk it out. Who knew she'd do something so humiliating! Why won't you divorce her?"

Gina's voice grew more pitiful with each word.

Colby, without a hint of warmth, replied, "That's my wife, and I don't need Ms. Gina to fret over it. Besides, I've never seen it as humiliation."

With that, Colby walked out of the Pearl Hotel without a backward glance.

Mr. Donny, watching Colby leave, couldn't conceal his disappointment and frustration.

Sophie sure had a knack for this.
