“Ah! Adler, you've seen him before,” Jenna said, a hint of intrigue in her voice.
“Adler?” Sophie echoed, “Sounds familiar.”
“He’s the young master from the Tredgold family. He used to visit when we were kids but then stopped coming.”
“Is that so?” Sophie replied absentmindedly as she tried on dresses in front of the mirror.
“Jenna, how does this look on me?” Sophie held up a vibrant red dress.
Jenna smirked, “It looks great, but you’ve already got a closet full of red!”
“But red’s my favorite!” Sophie insisted, her eyes gleaming like the roses in her brother's garden.
“What about this one? It’s lovely,” Jenna suggested, holding up a simple white gown.
Sophie made a face, “I hate it!”
“What? Didn’t you have a few white ones before? It makes your skin look like porcelain!” Jenna argued.
Sophie pouted, “Nah, white’s too somber.”
“Come on! It’s a big day; say something nice!” Jenna chuckled, tossing the red dress back to Sophie. “Go with your favorite then!”
“Hehe, I knew this one was perfect!” Sophie said, twirling the dress in front of her. The stylist nearby couldn’t hold back a chuckle.
