Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1376

"I get it, I'll sort it out by tomorrow morning."

"No, everyone needs to be out of there right after the funeral."

Gordon's insistence on a tight schedule left Colby with no choice but to say, "Have Rick send me the Aldridge family list. I promise by morning, not even a trace of them will be left."

"Good."

Gordon went on, "Also, rallying our crew is up to you, Colby. Since we're in Devonport, if we need weapons, we'll have to get them from the Costello family."

Colby shot back, "Doesn't your family have any weapons?"

"My family's arms are tied up elsewhere."

Wrapping up the topic, Gordon added, "Sophie will stick with me tomorrow, Colby. Any objections?"

Colby coolly asked, "Would it matter if I did?"

"No."

Gordon's response was blunt.

Sophie tugged on Colby's sleeve and said, "I'm safer with Mr. Gordon. You'll be too busy to keep an eye on me."

Colby got the drift and replied, "I'll leave someone to watch over you."

"No one can stay," Gordon cut in nonchalantly. "Like I said, tomorrow... not a soul from the Aldridge family can be around."

Colby frowned, "What's your game plan here?"

"Rick will back you up. Once the funeral wraps up by six, you can head back."

With that, Gordon said, "I've got everything lined up. You guys should get some rest."

"Mr. Gordon, I'm still not clear..."

Sophie tried to press for more, but Colby stepped in, "Got it. I'll handle it."

And with that, Colby took Sophie's hand and left Gordon's room.

Sophie hurried to keep up with Colby, asking, "Why won't you let me get more details?"
