“Odie! Why’d you have to spill the beans like that?”
Jenna shot a fiery glare at Odie, clearly frustrated.
Odie shrugged it off with a cool, “Hey, I'm not one of your crew. I can say whatever I want, and you can't stop me.”
“You!”
Sophie’s brows knitted together as she heard Odie’s words. “So, you’ve been brainstorming a way to handle this all along?”
Jenna quickly chimed in, “Sophie, you're under the weather. Let us deal with it. You shouldn’t stress about it.”
“Exactly, Sophie. Just kick back and relax. We’ve got it covered!” Adler added, backing Jenna.
Colby leaned in and whispered softly, “You just rest up now, leave the rest to me, alright?”
Sophie, touched by his concern, placed Colby's hand on her forehead. “Look, I’m all rested up. Fever’s gone. I can’t just snooze while you all are doing the heavy lifting. This involves me too.”
With a playful grin, Sophie continued, “And honestly, seeing Claire prance around as the Russell family heiress really bugs me.”
Colby’s brows furrowed with worry, seeing Sophie so set on joining in.
He didn’t want Sophie getting hurt again.
Sophie flashed him a comforting smile. “Don’t worry, if I start feeling off, I’ll take a break.”
“…Alright.”
Colby agreed, albeit reluctantly.
