Colby lifted his hand slightly. "Take him away."
"Yes, sir."
The Aldridge family's bodyguards stepped forward. The few men the Pollard family had brought were no match for the Aldridge security team. The lead bodyguard, in particular, didn't dare to make a move in front of Colby; he knew this was the biggest courtesy Sophie was extending to the Pollard family. Otherwise, a clash would have been bad news for everyone involved.
After a moment of silence, the lead bodyguard addressed Colby, "We'll consult with our master. If he insists on his stance, he might come to Devonport himself to retrieve him."
Colby, without even looking up, nodded. "As you wish."
He had done as his wife requested; the rest was not his concern.
Colby led his team back into Burke Estate.
Angelo and Sandy, relieved from their ordeal, burst into tears. "Oh my god, I thought we were going back to that boring life of shopping after eating every day! Thank goodness we didn't! I would've died of boredom!"
"And I thought I had to go back to being that dreadful CEO! It scared me to death!"
Jenna and Adler: "......"
At that moment, Sophie's attention wasn't on Angelo and Sandy. She focused on Ricardo. "Mr. Ricardo, it's been a while. Surely you haven't forgotten us?"
Ricardo's brows furrowed slightly.
Sophie continued, "We're all old friends here; no need to be so formal. Why don't you take a seat?"
Sit?
Ricardo scoffed.
