Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1147

Sophie stepped out of the car, and Timothy quickly opened the rear door for her.

A little while later, Jonah came back after handling some business only to find Sophie gone. He asked, "Boss, did Sophie and Colby just leave like that?"

"What did you expect? Should I have invited them for lunch? Do I owe them anything?" Odie, clearly annoyed, snapped, "Drive, let's head home."

"Yes, boss."

As Jonah buckled up, he handed Odie a bank card, saying, "Boss, Sophie asked me to give this to you this morning."

Odie looked at the card and said, "What's this? The bill for their stay over the past few days?"

"Seems like it."

"At least she has some decency."

A faint smile crossed Odie’s face, but it quickly faded when he checked the balance on the card and saw exactly $769.86. So precise!

Sophie really wasn’t willing to lose even a cent.

"Get some people to look into the Spellman family and take Timothy's father into custody."

"Boss, Sophie has already taken Timothy to Devonport. He hasn’t shown any unusual behavior the night before last. Do we still need to control the Spellman family?"

"My gut tells me there’s something fishy about the Spellman family."

All the time Odie had spent in Summerfield, the Spellman family had always stayed under the radar. Now that they had popped up, Odie's instincts screamed that there was a puppet master pulling the strings in Summerfield.

Especially the night Sophie got into trouble—how could the Spellman family have coincidentally asked to meet him?

If he wasn’t worried about tipping them off, Odie would have already nabbed that old man from the Spellman family for a thorough questioning.
