Bianca immediately spoke up upon hearing Abigail’s final words. Her voice trembled. “Abby, don’t say such things. Your father only approached your grandpa out of concern for the company. We’re family.”
“I’ll keep quiet about what Daniella did three years ago,” Abigail cut in, her gaze locked on Gabriel. Her voice was firm and unwavering. “But my condition is that I take my grandpa with me.”
This time, she wouldn’t back down. If Gabriel refused, she would expose Daniella’s crime publicly.
Bianca’s throat constricted. Recognizing Abigail’s seriousness, she grasped her hand. “Abby, try to understand your father. He-”
“Understand what?” Abigail wrenched free. “That I should let Daniella destroy my reputation while covering her track or help her get back on her feet at Halden Group?”
Her words left Bianca speechless.
“Wyatt stays with us. You want to leave? Fine, go ahead,” Gabriel barked. He refused to let Wyatt go. There was no way Abigail could possibly expose the hit–and–run now. It had been three years already. What proof could she even have?
“Then enjoy the scandal I’ll unleash tomorrow. I’ll give you tonight to think it over.” With that, Abigail turned and walked away.
The hallway fell into silence. Gabriel’s face turned livid with anger. “How dare she! I should’ve never let her come back. Then all this wouldn’t have happened.”

“Call Ralph,” Bianca whispered to the silent Stephen. “Ask him to come tomorrow and talk to Abby. We’re family. There’s no need for things to get this bad.”
Stephen glanced at Gabriel, who gave no sign of objection, and simply nodded.
The night air cooled Abigail’s fury as she exited the hospital. The Gibson family had a gift for weaponizing guilt until she lost her temper.
After several steadying breaths, she pulled out her phone, thumb hovering over Clark’s contact. he hesitated, biting her lower lip.
Abigail felt ashamed to bother him again, especially after everything he’d already done for her. But Wyatt’s current situation weighed heavily on her heart. That was why she lost control earlier tonight.
Wyatt was the only real family she had left. Pride couldn’t outweigh her safety. She couldn’t leave him with the Gibson family. If anything irreversible happened, she couldn’t bear the result at all.
When Abigail was lost in thought, Jeremiah’s voice startled her. “Abigail?”
Jeperat, brocamed with concern, “That sounds serious. Do you need me to arrange better specialists?”
