Rebirth of the Deadly Beauty novel Chapter 555

Winnie tried her best to comfort Yvonne. She told her not to be upset. Little did she know, Yvonne secretly hoped that Yolanda would never return to the Henderson family—or see her as a sister again. But for the sake of her plan, Yvonne kept up the act.

"Really?" Yvonne sniffled as she took the tissue Winnie handed her. "But Yolanda has been ignoring me lately. Even when we run into each other at the academy, she pretends I'm invisible..."

"Don't worry. Once she calms down, I'll try talking to her again," Winnie reassured her.

Though Winnie privately thought Diana and Harold clearly favored Yvonne, she didn't know the full details of what had happened in the Henderson family. She only had bits and pieces of information and had pieced together the rest on her own.

While she could understand why Yolanda was upset, she also felt that family ties couldn't be undone. As far as Winnie was concerned, Yolanda would always be part of the Henderson family, no matter what.

Winnie was kind-hearted, but her strong sense of traditional values often made her rigid. She firmly believed that family bonds couldn't be broken, no matter the misunderstandings.

That said, Winnie prided herself on not imposing her beliefs on others. When she noticed Yolanda's determination to distance herself from the family, she respected her decision and refrained from pushing the matter further. After all, it wasn't her place to interfere, even if she was Yolanda's cousin.

"Winnie, you're so close to Yolanda. Could you help me talk to her when you get the chance?" Yvonne's tear-streaked face lit up with a hopeful expression. Her eyes were wide and glistening. It was as if Winnie was her last ray of hope.

"Um… sure," Winnie replied, not wanting to make Yvonne cry again. "I'll wait until she's less upset and try to bring it up."

While she said this to console Yvonne, Winnie didn't actually plan to meddle. Between the two sisters, Winnie would always side with Yolanda. It wasn't just because Yolanda had helped her recently—it was because, growing up, Winnie had always felt Yolanda was more genuine and forthright with her emotions.

On the other hand, Yvonne had always seemed sweet and kind, but something about her made Winnie feel distant like a subtle wall existed between them.
