Bailee encashed 20 million dollars from the check that was previously given to her before the check got frozen. However, Monica was too busy taking care of Adrian then to demand the 20 million dollars back from Bailee.
Even though Bailee had lost her job, she got 20 million dollars for nothing. Since Yolanda was so low profile with her actions, most of the people from Riverdale who didn't know the truth still took Bailee as a hero for saving Adrian since her heroic act was plastered all over the news at that time.
Bailee had milked all her newfound fame and attention's worth in her social circle and even had the chance to get to know some rich heirs. With 20 million dollars in her savings, she attended teas and parties in high spirits.
Yolanda's appearance reminded Bailee about what had happened—how she lost 80 million dollars and her experience of being a detainee at the police station. She loathed Yolanda with every fiber of her being, so it was only natural for her not to have a pleasant attitude when talking to Yolanda.
"Such a shameless person. I didn't even invite you at all. You must have heard that my family is now rich and is just insolently trying to have a relationship with us again."
Bailee was now very full of herself. Even if Yolanda's family owned a business, it would still be impossible for them to have liquid capital of 20 million dollars. She was a legitimate rich person now and could now dismiss Yolanda and her family as unimportant nobodies.
"I was the one who had invited Yolanda. We're all cousins, so please don't be so harsh with your words, Bailee." Winnie looked apologetically at Yolanda as she tried to pacify the situation.
"Aunt Eleanor, could you introduce him? This is…" Winnie pointed at the young man, who she didn't recognize.
"He's Tony Cannon, Bailee's boyfriend."
When Eleanor heard Winnie asking about the young man beside her, she sat up extra tall and continued to introduce Tony proudly.
"You can just address him as Mr. Cannon. His family does business, and they have a few public-listed companies."
"Hello, Mr. Cannon." Winnie felt a little uncomfortable under Tony's intent staring, but since she was taught well growing up, she still bid her greetings politely.
