Tina persisted relentlessly and mocked, "Yolanda, didn't you just admit you're a fraud?"
"I'm not a fraud; why would I admit that?" Yolanda shot back coldly while casting a disdainful glance at Tina. "You accuse me of cheating, yet you couldn't find any evidence despite scouring the surveillance footage. Meanwhile, you were actually expelled from the First Academy for cheating!"
"What? Tina, you got expelled?" Both Baxter and Kelly were taken aback.
The Beck family had kept Tina's expulsion under wraps, and Tina acted as if nothing happened, so neither Baxter nor Kelly were aware of it.
"Yolanda, stop deflecting! You're just trying to con Uncle Baxter and Kelly for your own benefit! You'd put her at risk for a little gain—how can you be so inhuman?" Tina's words were highly inflammatory, almost as if she could rally the whole neighborhood to her cause.
"Uncle Baxter, Kelly, you mustn't trust her!"
Baxter was silent for a moment, then finally spoke. "Tina, we might not know about the juvenile detention center or her cheating, but I can vouch for Yolanda's medical skills."
Even if Yolanda had a troubled past, that was in the past. Her expertise was what mattered now.
"Uncle Baxter, why don't you believe me and instead trust an outsider?" Tina was still unconvinced. "If you let her treat Kelly, it could be fatal! Isn't Kelly your most important granddaughter? How can you gamble with her life?
"I can't let her harm Kelly!" As she spoke, she rushed to stand in front of Kelly to confront Yolanda.
