Johnny's friends continued dissing Sharon with disdain.
Johnny looked at Sharon and sneered. "Tsk. At least you've improved slightly since you now know how to eat in places like Le Jardin. However, your outfit is still as frumpy as ever."
Sharon glared at Johnny. She was certain that Johnny had lied excessively about her to his friends.
For them to be Johnny's friends would also mean that they probably had bad worldviews and principles as well. She didn't want to argue with bastards like them.
"Let's go in, Yolanda. Let's just ignore them."
Yolanda initially wanted to teach the cheating bastard a lesson on Sharon's behalf, but since she didn't care, Yolanda merely nodded.
"Let's go."
Sharon wanted to leave quietly, but it was clear that Johnny didn't want what she wanted. Johnny quickened his pace and blocked Sharon's path. He spat in disdain.
"This place is for members only. You can't enter without a member's recommendation."
Johnny's friends saw that and started teasing and mocking Sharon as well.
"You are rich but in Riverdale, it's not all about just money. Upstarts like you have no connections and no social status. You're not worthy to dine here."
"Just leave now when you can. When you're chased out by the servers later, your dignity will be trampled."
They all heard from Johnny that Sharon was merely an upstart who was slightly more wealthy. She didn't have any connection or social status.
The amount of money the Jones earned was merely a middle-class income in Riverdale, so they were completely unafraid when they teased Sharon.
