"How do you know Mr. Granger? Why is he so polite to you?" Harold asked.
"I did him a favor," Yolanda replied.
"What kind of favor?"
"That's his private matter. Are you sure you want to know?"
Harold waved his hand dismissively. "Alright. Forget it."
Nevertheless, doubt still lingered in his eyes. He asked with concern, "You're not doing anything dangerous behind our backs, are you?"
"No."
Upon hearing Yolanda's calm response, Harold frowned and scrutinized her head to toe. For the first time, he realized he didn't know this daughter of his at all.
After a moment, he sighed and said, "As you saw today, our company ran into some problems, but they're nothing serious. We'll be back on track with the loan we secured today.
"I've been busy raising funds and didn't want your mother to worry, so I said I was on a business trip.
"In short, I'm confident I can resolve the company's issues quickly. Keep what happened this afternoon to yourself. Don't mention it to your mother or Yvonne. Act like you don't know anything."
Yolanda nodded. "Understood."
She wasn't in the habit of chatting with Diana or Yvonne anyway, and they wouldn't ask her about it.
Harold relaxed a bit. "Alright then. Go downstairs for dinner."
