Rebirth of the Deadly Beauty novel Chapter 144

Yolanda hadn't intended to involve herself in the affairs of the Whitmores, but Yvonne's desperate attempts to impress Diana had been somewhat amusing. To reclaim Diana's favor, Yolanda needed to continually outshine Yvonne.

Since Brigham was the general manager of Starry Gemworks, he held significant authority in the company. For Yolanda, getting Bailee a job there was as simple as making a phone call.

Anyway, it was not her concern what kind of social backlash Bailee might face once her colleagues found out she got in through connections.

Eleanor, who was initially taken aback, sneered at Yolanda's statement. "Arrange it? What does a waste like you can do? And you claim to know the general manager of Starry Gemworks? Tell me. How did you get to know him? Did you meet him while he was visiting juvenile detention?"

Her tone was dripping with sarcasm. She couldn't believe Yolanda's claim about knowing Starry Gemworks' general manager.

"Don't make trouble at a time like this, Yolanda," Diana said with a frown. She too doubted Yolanda's claim.

Given that the Henderson family had no connections with the Hansen family and Yolanda had just come out of juvenile detention a month ago, it seemed implausible for her to know such a high-ranking individual.

Noticing that things might fall through today, Eleanor quickly softened her tone and said, "You know me, Diana. I'm straightforward and blunt.

"What I said might have sounded harsh, but we genuinely need your help. You're well-connected in the socialite circle, and I believe you have the means to help us."

Eleanor really knew how to control Diana perfectly.

With her mixed approach of pressure and flattery, Diana felt her anger subside somewhat. She sighed.

"Eleanor, it's not that I don't want to help, but I simply can't. The Hansen family is not someone I can reach."
