You Want My Crown Fine Take the Trash Too (by Mountain River) novel Chapter 4

**Chapter 4**

The instant my gaze locked onto Donovan, an eruption of emotions that had been pent up within me—grievance, fear, and simmering anger—finally found their release. I gasped, “Don!”

He hurried to my side, his eyes brimming with concern. Without hesitation, he shed his coat and enveloped me in its warmth, a shield against the world that had become so hostile. As I leaned into his solid embrace, I felt a flicker of safety return, a fleeting moment of solace amidst the chaos.

But Donovan’s presence was not merely comforting; it bore a weight that felt both oppressive and suffocating.

In an instant, the atmosphere of the jewelry shop shifted dramatically. A chill swept through the air, and the crystal displays lining the shelves began to crack under the sudden tension, the sharp sound echoing like a warning bell.

The onlookers, already on edge, began to tremble. A few of the lesser-ranked werewolves crumpled to their knees, overcome by the impending dread that filled the space.

“Oh my gosh… That’s the Lycan Chairman’s elite unit! And the one at the forefront… is that really him?” one whispered, eyes wide with disbelief.

“There’s no question about it. His aura is so powerful it makes my soul quiver. What on earth is he doing here?” another replied, their voice barely above a whisper.

“Wait, is he really her so-called brother? If that’s the case, Falcon is completely doomed. He’s dragged his entire pack straight into hell!”

Falcon’s complexion had drained to a shade so pale it was almost ghostly. As an Alpha, he could feel the bloodline suppression more acutely than anyone else in the room. It was a dominance that rendered rebellion utterly impossible.

The Alpha aura he had once held with pride now seemed trivial in the face of Donovan’s presence, like a mere firefly trying to compete with the brilliance of the sun. Yet, there were always a few fools who remained oblivious to the danger they courted.

Julia, likely emboldened by Falcon’s support, had the audacity to step forward and confront Donovan.

Even though she could sense the oppressive pressure in the air, her narrow perspective blinded her to the reality that a force far more potent than her beloved Alpha Falcon existed in this world.
