Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 594

“Yes. They didn’t say anything, but they looked furious. I think the young lady must have done something to upset them. Sir, if we don’t hurry, she might be in real danger.”

She was still injured, and nobody really knew who she was. There was no way he could just leave her there.

“Get some men together. You lead the way.”

“Yes, sir.”

Claire felt like her whole body was on fire from the pain, but she refused to let herself cry. She just stared Julian down, stubborn as ever.

“What do you want from me? I already told you, I have no idea what you’re talking about. The Ballard family is going to notice I’m missing, and they’ll come for me. If you’re smart, you’ll let me go before things get ugly.”

“How this ends is my problem, not yours. Miles, bring her in.”

Miles gave a signal, and a moment later, a couple of guys dragged in Helene. She was so scared she could barely stand, tears running down her face as they half-carried her inside. Julian hadn’t even touched her, but after being locked up for three months, just seeing this scene made her nearly collapse.

“Julian, please, what are you doing? I haven’t done anything. Don’t hurt me, please, don’t,” Helene begged, her whole body shaking.

Julian barely glanced at her, cold and distant.

“Do you know her?” His tone was flat, almost bored.

Helene heard him and finally looked up. She saw Claire, still hanging there, and her eyes landed on Claire’s arm. Recognition flickered in her face. Her mind went blank, and before she could think, she shook her head hard.

“No, I don’t know her.”

Julian turned, eyes narrowing.

“You’re looking right at her. Are you really going to say you don’t know her?”
