Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 516

“Your opinion doesn’t concern me,” Julian replied, his voice icy.

Christian’s face turned red with anger. “Are you really going to challenge me every single time? This is completely disrespectful.”

“You’re the one who keeps blocking me,” Julian said, his tone steady but firm. “I’m a grown man, and I still don’t get a say in my own life? She’s the mother of my children. You want to keep the kids around, but you’re always trying to push her away. Don’t you think that’s a bit much?”

Julian stood tall in front of the old man, meeting his gaze without flinching.

“See, Dad? Julian’s openly disobeying you. The heir you picked isn’t looking so great now, is he?” Matthew chimed in, doing his best to stir up trouble.

Madeline shot Matthew a look. The way he kept fanning the flames made her skin crawl.

Julian’s cold stare slid over to his uncle. “I never thought you’d change this much. You used to be clueless, but now you’re also fake. Honestly, it suits you.”

Matthew narrowed his eyes. “Julian, I’m just being honest.”

“So am I.”

Matthew went silent, his lips pressed tight.

“Grandpa, my mind’s made up. Nothing’s going to change it. If you can’t accept her, I’ll move out with her and the kids.”

Christian’s head snapped up. “You’re taking both children with you?”

“Shouldn’t kids live with their parents? Or do you think they’d rather stay with their great-grandfather?” Julian arched an eyebrow. “You can ask them yourself. See if they agree.”

Christian clenched his jaw, grinding his teeth. “Are you really set on tearing this family apart?”

“Isn’t it you who’s been causing all the problems?”

Christian’s brow furrowed into deep lines. The kids were never all that close to him anyway. If Julian left with them, they’d drift even further apart.

Julian gave her a small smile. “I like that you’re worried about me.”

“I just don’t want to make things harder for you. I could move somewhere quiet, get a few more bodyguards. You don’t have to fight for me like this.”

“I want to,” Julian said simply.

Madeline knew she couldn’t change his mind, so she let it go. “Take me to see Mrs. Grayson.”

Julian raised an eyebrow. “Right now?”

“Yeah. I think it’s time.”

“Alright. Let’s go clear things up.” Julian didn’t hesitate. He took her hand and led her toward the hospital.
