Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 434

Knock, knock. Two quick knocks sounded at the door. Outside, Oliver and Brenda were squished up against it, listening like a couple of nosy geckos. Noah watched them, looking like he’d already given up.

“Why did it suddenly go quiet?” Oliver whispered, frowning. Behind them, a handful of waiters were lined up with their dishes. If the people inside didn’t wrap things up soon, they’d all have to eat in the hallway.

Inside, Madeline was panicking. She kept pushing at Julian’s chest, desperate for him to let go before anyone barged in. But Julian wasn’t budging. Instead, he just scooped her up, holding her tight against him. Madeline nearly let out a yelp, but with people right outside, she bit her tongue and glared at him instead. She’d even bitten his tongue hard enough to draw blood, but he didn’t seem to feel a thing.

Julian carried her straight to a door on the other side of the room, which led to another private space. It was empty. Without missing a beat, he pressed her up against the door and kissed her again, hot and hungry.

Meanwhile, outside, Brenda was getting more and more anxious as the silence dragged on. She was starting to worry that those two were getting up to something way too personal in there. Turning to the waiter, she said, “I don’t think anyone booked the next room. Can we switch to that one?” She added quickly, “I’ll pay extra if you need.”

The waiter thought about it, then nodded. “Sure, that’s fine.”

He started carrying their food to the other room. Oliver pushed the door open a crack and peeked inside, expecting to see his parents. But the room was empty. He stepped in, looking around. “Huh? Where did Mommy and Daddy go?”

“They aren’t in there?” Brenda asked, a little panicked.

“Nope,” Oliver said.
