Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 390

Julian didn’t even spare Courtney a glance. His voice was icy, the kind that could freeze you in place. “Isn’t this exactly the show you all wanted everyone to see?”

Courtney was at a loss for words. She looked helplessly at the old man, hoping for rescue.

Christian’s brow furrowed. His tone grew heavier, every word laced with warning. “Julian, what are you doing? Whatever it is, save it until after the engagement party.”

“I’m not here for any engagement party.” Julian’s gaze shifted to Madeline. “I’m here for her birthday.”

The room went silent for one heartbeat, then erupted. It was like someone had dropped a match in a powder keg.

Helene’s face went pale, almost ghostly.

“Julian!” Christian barked, his voice sharp and commanding.

Julian finally looked at him, calm and almost distant. “Grandpa, you seem confused. Someone, please take him home to rest.”

Christian’s anger was almost tangible. His veins stood out on his neck and his voice shook with rage. “Julian, are you really going to lose your sense of right and wrong for Madeline?”

Julian’s tone was steady. “Grandpa, the one who’s lost his sense of right and wrong is you.”

The old man was so furious he could barely get the words out. “I… I…”

Suddenly, a loud voice broke through the chaos. “There’s been a mistake, everyone, a huge mistake!”

The hotel owner appeared out of nowhere, sweating and clearly nervous.

Everyone turned to stare at him.

He had actually been there for a while, hiding and watching, waiting to see where Julian stood. The moment he realized Julian was backing Madeline, he chose his side.

“This hall was indeed booked by Ms. Monroe for a birthday party. As for Ms. Fortner’s booking… we’ll need to look into that right away.”

Helene stared at the owner, completely shocked.

The owner looked trapped, desperate not to offend anyone. He couldn’t even meet Helene’s eyes.
