Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 333

It was his laptop. And it had been locked away in his office, behind a door that wouldn't open for anyone without his fingerprint. Not even a chainsaw could get through.

Charlie stared at Julian, completely stunned. This guy wouldn’t have used explosives on his office, would he?

His office was well hidden. His men would never let anyone just walk in and find it. The only way Julian’s people could have gotten the laptop was if they’d fought their way in, torn the place apart, blown the door open, and somehow managed to get their hands on the laptop.

Charlie was speechless. He was so furious he couldn’t even get a word out.

Now it made sense why he was being kept here. It was all for this. Just perfect. Charlie felt like he was about to explode.

Meanwhile, Julian didn’t even bat an eye. His face was as calm as ever.

Miles opened the laptop and set it down right in front of Charlie. His tone was firm. “Charlie, if you would.”

Charlie snapped. He slammed the laptop shut. “Get out of my face!”

They’d already raided his headquarters, and now they wanted him to just hand over the information? Seriously? Not a chance!

Julian looked up at Charlie, his eyes sweeping over him, cold and unreadable. There was something about him that made it impossible to ignore the pressure he gave off.

Charlie felt a chill run through him. He shrank back, but his anger flared again as he thought about what had happened to his own people. “This was just a few idiots who didn’t know what they were doing. Why are you dragging everyone else into it?”

“You’re the one always talking about rules. If your organization doesn’t even exist anymore, what rules are there?”

Charlie’s heart pounded. His hands were clenched so tightly they were slick with sweat, but he couldn’t bring himself to say anything more. Julian was insane.

After a long silence, Charlie finally managed to get something out. “Even if you have the laptop, it’s useless. The people who contacted us used anonymous accounts. You won’t find anything.”

“Whether I find anything or not, that’s my problem.”
