Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 297

Madeline’s eyes shimmered with defeat. What did she have to say for them to finally believe the truth? The kids were Julian’s. Why couldn’t they see it?

Lucy jabbed a finger toward the door, her voice sharp and full of fury. “Get out. Right now. I don’t want you causing any more chaos in the Grayson home. No one here is buying your stories.”

Madeline’s fists clenched at her sides. She stared straight at Julian. “Julian, everything I’m saying is true. Noah and Oliver are your sons. Your flesh and blood. Please, I swear it.”

She reached out and grabbed his sleeve, her grip desperate. “If something happens to Noah today, you’ll regret it forever. I’m begging you… he’s somewhere here, in the Grayson house. Please, just look for him again. I’m begging you.”

Julian looked down at her hand, then let his gaze slowly trace up to her face. For a moment, as their eyes met, something in his cold expression cracked. His heart skipped wildly.

She held onto his sleeve like it was her lifeline, like if she just held on hard enough, he’d finally believe her.

“It’s true,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “Please, you have to believe me. He’s your son. He’s here. I’m begging you, just look again. Please.”

By the end, her words sounded more like a plea than anything else.

Julian stared at her. She never backed down from him, never once showing weakness. This was the first time she’d ever begged him for anything.

And her eyes… they were so honest. Her voice so sure. For a second, he almost believed it.

But the two DNA tests flashed through his mind, smashing that fragile hope to pieces.

Madeline saw the struggle flicker in his eyes.

“Miles, get everyone. Keep searching,” Julian ordered.

A spark of hope lit up in Madeline’s chest. “Thank you.”
