Aria's POV
I felt my cheeks burning hotter than the surface of the sun. Was he... flirting with me? The way his lips curled into that devilish smile made him look like some kind of male enchanter, designed specifically to tempt women into sin.
"I-I..." My words failed me as I stared into those dark, hypnotic eyes.
Something shifted between us in that moment - the air became charged with electricity, making it hard to breathe. Without conscious thought, my hand moved forward, fingers trembling slightly as they made contact with his exposed abs beneath the loosened bathrobe.
God, his skin was hot to the touch, firm muscle tensing beneath my fingertips.
"Aria..." Aiden's voice had dropped an octave, husky and raw.
Instead of pulling away, he caught my wrist, but not to stop me. He guided my palm to press flat against his stomach, letting me feel the hard ridges of muscle.
"What are you doing to me?" he growled.
Before I could respond, he pulled me against him, one strong arm wrapping around my waist while his other hand tangled in my hair. His mouth crashed down on mine with bruising intensity.
"You're mine," he said against my lips. "All fucking mine."
The possessive words sent liquid heat pooling between my thighs. I whimpered as he deepened the kiss, his tongue demanding entrance which I eagerly granted.
"Aiden," I gasped when we finally broke apart for air.
He didn't waste time with words. In one fluid motion, he lifted me, my legs automatically wrapping around his waist as he carried me toward the bed. He threw me down on the mattress, the expensive sheets cool against my heated skin.
"Look at you," he said, his eyes drinking in the sight of me sprawled beneath him. "So fucking beautiful."
He untied his robe, letting it fall open to reveal his perfect body - broad shoulders, sculpted chest, narrow waist, and... oh god.
"Like what you see, baby?" His voice was pure sin.
I couldn't speak, just nodded desperately.
"Tell me you want me," he demanded, towering over me.
"I want you," I whispered. "Please."
That was all it took. He descended on me like a storm, his hands seemingly everywhere at once. He stripped away my clothes with efficient movements, leaving me naked and trembling with need.
"Aiden, please," I begged, not caring how desperate I sounded.
"So wet for me already," he growled, his fingers finding me slick and ready. "Is this all for me?"
"Yes," I gasped as he stroked me. "Only you."
His eyes burned into mine as he positioned himself at my entrance. "Say it again."
"Only you, Aiden. Only ever you."
He pushed forward in one powerful thrust, filling me completely. I cried out, my nails digging into his shoulders.
"That's it, baby. Take all of me."
He set a relentless pace, each thrust driving me higher. My legs wrapped around his waist, urging him deeper.
"Fuck, Aria," he groaned against my neck. "You feel so good around me."
His words pushed me closer to the edge. I could feel myself tightening around him as my orgasm approached.
"Come for me," he commanded, reaching between us to touch me where we were joined. "Now."
My body obeyed instantly, pleasure exploding through me in waves. I screamed his name as I shattered.
"That's it," he growled, his rhythm becoming erratic. "Take everything I give you."
With a final deep thrust, he found his own release, his body tensing above mine as he emptied himself inside me.
Afterward, he rolled to his side, pulling me against his chest. I could hear his heart pounding as his breathing slowly returned to normal.
"You're incredible," he murmured against my hair, his voice softer now.
I nestled against him, feeling safer and more content than I'd ever felt before.
---
This was the third time Lillian caught me daydreaming.
Lillian made a light clicking sound with her tongue and sat down next to me, draping her arm around my shoulders. "Aria, what's got you so completely distracted that you didn't respond the three times I called your name?"
Suddenly aware of Lillian holding me, my thoughts immediately returned to reality. I looked at her, feeling somewhat guilty. "I was just thinking about something."
Lillian raised an eyebrow. "Thinking about what? You were completely lost in it."
Thinking about what?
My face was completely flushed by now. Lillian was right, but hearing it said so openly in public was too much for my thin skin. I quickly changed the subject: "You're right! By the way, why did Claire Bennett publicly thank me?"
At the mention of Claire, Lillian's attention shifted completely. "Speaking of Claire, that woman is truly unpredictable."
I exhaled in relief.
Just then, our food arrived, and we chatted about Claire's inexplicable behavior while complaining about jealous people in our social circles.
We enjoyed our meal together immensely.
I accidentally ate too much and my stomach felt uncomfortable. "Lil, I think I ate too much."
Lillian, who had also overindulged, rubbed her slightly protruding belly. "Me too!"
We exchanged glances, wordlessly agreeing to pay the bill and head to the mall across the street to walk off our meal.
The mall was full of people with the same idea. After exploring all six floors, we decided to head home around nine o'clock.
But when we reached the mall entrance, we noticed a problem. It had been fine when we arrived, but now it was pouring rain.
It had been clear earlier, but now getting home would be difficult.
I looked at Lillian. "How are you getting back?"
I wasn't worried about myself; worst case, I could call my dad and his driver would come pick me up.
"It's fine. I can wait until the rain stops," Lillian said unconcerned. "What about you? Is Aiden coming to get you?"
I shook my head. "He has a business dinner tonight."
At this time, Aiden's dinner probably hadn't ended yet.
Just as I finished speaking, a female voice cut in: "If he's not picking you up, just say so. Why make excuses about business dinners?"
The passive-aggressive tone was unmistakably directed at me. Lillian and I instinctively turned toward the voice.
Seeing Madison and her friend standing nearby, I couldn't help but feel annoyed.
Talk about awkward timing - running into my ex's new girlfriend.
What a small world!
