Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 51

A sharp slap echoed through the room.

Liliana didn't hold back, swinging her hand across Sebastian's face.

The spot where she'd struck him immediately began to swell, turning a dark red. He stared at her, stunned, his mind reeling in disbelief.

It took him a moment to recover. When he did, his eyes blazed with fury. "Liliana," he growled through clenched teeth, "you've got a death wish, don't you!"

"If you can't use that mouth to speak properly, you should have your tongue cut out."

Liliana smiled at him, but her eyes were chips of ice. "Let me hear you bark again, and it won't just be a slap."

"You!"

Sebastian choked on his rage, his teeth grinding together. He was furious, but also confused.

Usually, Liliana would do anything to please Linton, trying desperately to fit into his circle, and she'd taken plenty of their ridicule for it.

In the past, she'd always just endured it with a forced smile. The high and mighty heiress of Crownport, acting like a common clown in front of them, someone anyone could step on.

But today, she had a backbone. She wasn't just talking back; she was hitting back!

Clutching his stinging cheek, Sebastian sneered, "You're finished, Liliana. I'm telling Linton. Let's see how you explain this to him!"

"If you don't want Linton to hate you, you'll get on your knees and apologize to me right now!"

"Apologize to you? And why would you deserve that?"

Liliana just laughed, not bothering to waste any more time on the idiot.

She turned to leave, but a soft, gentle voice, laced with disapproval and reproach, stopped her from behind.

"Liliana, you're being willful and causing trouble again."
