Felicia learned about a shocking incident.
Barnaby's youngest son had returned from abroad and attempted to attack Max at BlueMarble Investments the previous night.
The boy had been sent overseas in his early teens due to his rebellious, unmanageable behavior and a penchant for getting into trouble. Barnaby had essentially exiled him, supplying him with a massive monthly allowance to party abroad.
Upon learning of his family's bankruptcy, the spoiled youth could not handle the sudden loss of wealth.
Max was unharmed in the attack. Ironically, Andrea had been there to shield him, supposedly sustaining an arm injury in the process.
Listening to the gossip, Felicia expressionlessly continued processing her paperwork.
Savannah scoffed in disgust. "Andrea sure knows how to pick her moments. Is she not supposed to be engaged to Holden? Yet she is still pining after Max. Classic Andrea, always wanting to have her cake and eat it too. Max must be incredibly moved by her sacrifice."
She noticed Felicia's total apathy and sighed. "Well, you are heading to Cloudville soon anyway, Felicia. Let all this mess stay here."
Felicia looked up at Savannah with a faint smile. "I am not bothered at all. Take this file back with you."
She had long since given up any illusions about Max. Handing the document to Savannah, she just wanted to wrap up her remaining work and leave for Cloudville.
Savannah took the file, glancing at Felicia as if she wanted to say more, but ultimately kept quiet.
At that moment, Mason pushed the door open, looking somewhat anxious.
"What is going on?" Savannah asked.
Mason explained the situation.
Mrs. Steele was currently kneeling outside the building, desperately begging to see Felicia.
It was raining outside, but no matter how much people tried to persuade her, she refused to get up.
Felicia frowned deeply.
She knew exactly why the woman was there.
