"What have you been doing with the young nun? You look so happy," Larkin said, plucking a stray twig from her hair.

Erica laughed sweetly. "I'm not happy playing with the young nun, it's seeing you that makes me happy!"

Larkin's eyes crinkled into crescents.

"Did you sneak some ice cream?"

Erica asked, "how do you know that?"

She touched her lips, no longer cold.

"How did you know?" Not denying it, Erica twiddled her fingers, asking in a small voice like a little kids caught doing something wrong.

"Alright."

Erica sighed softly.

"Since we're leaving, let me do something."

What Erica meant by 'do something' was to get some people to bring a truckload of watermelons.

The veteran monk was stunned.

"Sir, the weather's going to get hot soon, watermelons can help beat the heat!" Erica said seriously to the veteran monk. "Larkin and I are leaving tomorrow, we've caused you guys a lot of trouble these past few days, consider this our apology!"

"You’re leaving tomorrow?" The veteran monk was slightly taken aback.

"Yep, a good friend of mine is about to give birth, we've promised to be there." Erica answered, then handed over a piece of paper with her and Larkin's contact information. "Sir, this is our contact information. If the Larkin’s teacher misses him, just let us know, wherever we are, we'll come straight to him!"
