Larkin's voice came from behind Lenora.

Seeing that Larkin wasn't angry, Erica's anger subsided a bit.

"What does she take me for? Does she think I'm like a stray cat or dog, to be slapped away when she doesn't want me, and pampered when she does?" Erica said angrily. "She even had the nerve to say that I was the one who enticed Jacob. Maybe she should find out that it was Jacob who made the move on me, sending me roses. It took him two months before I agreed to date him!"
