The Secret Heir's Return to Wealth and Love novel Chapter 1611

Then, Larkin shoved Jacob away.

Jacob staggered back a few steps before regaining his balance.

He was clearly flabbergasted.

"You're injured, so it's not fair for me to fight you. But if you touch my wife again, I'm gonna break your arms and legs, and I ain't gonna fix them for you," Larkin warned politely.

"Jacob!"

Shawn got out of the car. He just got there.

Erica and Larkin got in the car.

Seeing this, Jacob immediately wanted to catch up, but was stopped by Shawn.

"Jacob, have you lost your marbles? You've been lying in the hospital for days, hurt because of that woman. Mrs. Strand is worried so much about you! Erica has been shacking up with some other guy for days. Why are you still chasing after a bad woman?"

Jacob's ears were buzzing. Almost reflexively, he turned around and punched Shawn.

Shawn fell to the ground in pain.

Jacob pounced on him, grabbed Shawn's collar, and demanded, "Who's the bad woman? Say it again, who's the bad woman?"

But Shawn was stubborn as a mule, even if it meant getting beat up, he wouldn't change his words, "Erica changes men faster than she changes clothes. What else would you call her if not a bad woman? Jacob, we've been friends since we were kids, and now you're fighting me over a woman. I flew all the way from back home to see you, and this is how you treat me?"

Jacob looked at Shawn, and his heart was about to explode.

He suddenly remembered what Rosalynn had said before, "The way people around you treat Erica, doesn't it depend on how you treat Erica?"

Jacob clutched his chest, his throat rolled, and his mouth was filled with bloody taste.

"Jacob!"

Just as Larkin was waiting to be scolded...

"Why didn't you tell me that you know how to fight?" Erica's voice was incredibly shocked, "When I first met you, you were so gentlemanly and refined. Who could have guessed that you are so good at fighting! I was worried that you couldn't beat Jacob in a fight..."

Larkin was dumbfounded: "...You're not scolding me?"

"Scold you? Scold you for what? You've been so good these past few days..."

The car suddenly swayed on the road.

"Slow down! Slow down!" Erica gripped the seat belt tightly.

"Okay..." Larkin responded, but still didn't understand, "Why aren't you scolding me? I broke Jacob's arm."

"Well, you did fix it back for him," Erica said bluntly, "Wait, let's get this straight. He was trying to steal your wife, right? And then you fought him to protect your wife, right? That makes total sense, why would you get scolded? Larkin, do you really think I'm that unreasonable?"
