Ivy was on the phone, cooing sweetly, "Mom, I miss you so much today!"
Wayne just put it on speaker.
Rosalynn was laughing sweetly on the other end, "Then baby, can you hold on a bit longer? Mommy will be home soon!"
"Okay!" Ivy agreed immediately, then handed the phone back to Wayne, "You guys keep chatting!"
Wayne just smiled helplessly.
He turned off the speaker.
Then he heard Rosalynn asking, "What's wrong with Ivy today? Was she bullied at school?"
Wayne was amazed at Rosalynn's keen perception of Ivy's mood.
To him, Ivy had just been acting cute.
"I'll tell you when I get home." Wayne said softly.
Rosalynn agreed, "I'm already at the garage, see you at home in a bit."
"Okay."
Rosalynn hung up the phone.
"Did something happen to Ivy at school?" Lola asked concernedly as soon as Rosalynn hung up.
Rosalynn thought about it, shook her head, "Shouldn't be anything serious, otherwise her dad wouldn't be so calm, don't worry."
"That's good." Lola felt relieved.
"Think about the thing I told you. Jered Ventures may not be big now, but it has some reputation in the industry. You'd have more room for development if you become the head of Jered Ventures than being my assistant." Rosalynn said seriously before getting on her car.
Lola bit her lip, "I'll consider it."
She wasn't short of money.. She just liked working with Rosalynn.
Rosalynn patted her shoulder, then got on the car.
Wayne and the kids got home a bit earlier than Rosalynn.
He didn't rush home, but chatted with the kids outside the garage, waiting for Rosalynn's return.
"What a vicious couple!" She paused, then looked at Wayne, "Did you really send them to the mental hospital?"
Wayne got up, brought over the document Curtis had signed.
"What's this, an admission notice? Why is it so thick?" Rosalynn took it, it felt heavy.
"It's not just an admission notice, there's also a divorce agreement inside." Wayne said nonchalantly, "I didn't want to interfere, but... Ivy cares a lot about her classmates, she was worried about them on the way home."
Rosalynn didn't respond.
Of course she understood Ivy's feelings.
She could deal with adults facing difficulties, but couldn't bear to see children suffer.
She read through the divorce agreement in silence, there wasn't much in it.
The main point was that the debts during the marriage would be taken by the husband, and the house bought by the wife would belong to their child.
"Having a house worth a lot in the market is indeed a safety net for the child." Rosalynn pursed her lips, looked at Wayne, "But from what you said about the child's mother... I don't think she's very sensible. Even if the husband signs, if she doesn't, the agreement won't take effect."
