Chapter 574: The Wolf’s Patience

The kiss there had been startling enough, but when Xavier’s hands slid beneath his knees, Luca’s breath caught.

In one smooth, deliberate motion, the prince lifted his legs, guiding them apart until he was spread open in a way that made heat flood his cheeks.

Good heavens!

His hips tilted upward, his entire body on quiet display beneath the wolf’s steady hands.

"W-wait—"

"Luca," Xavier said, voice low and sure, like someone ready to beg for air. "I want to see you."

Wha! Luca could feel the burn climbing up his neck.

While he’d been clueless before, the same couldn’t be said now. Just looking at Xavier like this, he knew what all this could mean, especially when his gaze was drawn down, meeting the deep, focused look in Xavier’s eyes.

Because those eyes didn’t waver.

They bore into him, following every twitch of his thighs, every uneven breath, as though he were memorizing him.

The little chipmunk tried to hold his gaze, but it was impossible to ignore the position—the height of his knees, the slight tremble in his thighs, the unmistakable way the air shifted over his most private place.

He was exposed beyond belief.

And then it happened.

Xavier leaned in.

Warm breath ghosted over his entrance again before a slow, deliberate stroke of his tongue traced over it.

"Ah—!" Luca jolted hard, hips trying to escape, toes curling as his fingers clawed at the quilt.

"!!!"

The sensation was nothing like he’d prepared for.

It was wetter.

Hotter.

Far too intimate.

Xavier didn’t stop. If anything, the greedy wolf looked pleased with the reaction, his tongue teasing the sensitive ring of muscle with languid, coaxing strokes.

Luca’s breath grew ragged, his heart battering against his ribs. "I—I didn’t think—"

Couldn’t think, really.

"Luca," Xavier murmured between strokes, his tone rich with control. "It’s okay. I’ve got you. Just feel."

But that was the problem.

He was feeling everything.

The slide of a tongue that alternated between slow circles and sudden, firmer presses. The way Xavier would retreat just far enough to let cool air kiss the sensitized skin, only to return with another, teasing glide.

It was overwhelming.

But... it wasn’t bad. Not even close.

Because it was all cold against heat, and Luca couldn’t tell which of them was burning.

The shocked receiver convinced himself to unclench his fingers from the quilt, to focus on breathing as instructed. And slowly, that tense knot of surprise began to unwind. His body softened under the wolf’s touch, yielding inch by inch.

"You’re letting me in," Xavier observed, voice almost reverent.

Luca bit his lip hard, not sure if he should be embarrassed or proud. "I-I trust you."

That made the prince pause, just for a second, before his azure eyes warmed—still intense, still fixed on him, but carrying something deeper. "Thank you."

Then he changed tactics.

Instead of a flat stroke, he pressed the tip of his tongue just inside, testing the give. Luca’s gasp was sharp, but instead of pulling away, his legs twitched in a weak attempt to draw him closer.

The wolf noticed. Of course he did.

"You like that?"

Luca shook his head automatically, but the sound that left his throat—half-whimper, half-moan—betrayed him entirely.

The greedy husband chuckled low in his chest and tried again, a little deeper this time, one hand spreading him wider while the other rubbed slow circles along the inside of his thigh.

Luca’s head tipped back against the pillows, eyes squeezing shut. The sensations blurred together—the teasing tongue, the warm hold on his legs, the quiet hums of approval from between his thighs.

His mind was a mess.

His body was on fire.

And yet, through all of it, one thought stayed steady.

He didn’t want this to stop.

Xavier didn’t let up. A subtle press followed every slow, deliberate stroke of his tongue, coaxing Luca open in ways his mind had never imagined.

The little guide’s breathing had gone ragged, his legs trembling in Xavier’s steady grip. His head tipped back against the pillows, lips parted, a thin sheen of sweat forming along his hairline. He wanted to say something, anything, but every time words tried to form, they dissolved into soft, helpless sounds.

Stars, his wolfish husband, was enjoying this. He could feel it in the way Xavier’s thumbs stroked lazy circles into the backs of his thighs, how his hum of approval vibrated against sensitive flesh. That hum sent shivers darting up his spine.

It wasn’t just pleasure. It was the way Xavier’s hands held him, firm but careful, that made Luca feel anchored, safe enough to let his guard down in a position that had his entire body exposed.

"Do you think you’re ready for more?" he murmured.
