“Oh, maybe it’s because he thinks I’m not worth his time because even flies are more significant than I am,” Felix replied. 

He couldn’t possibly answer that Moonlight Alliance was Dahlia’s property, which was the main reason why George ran for his life, could he? 

“Whatever it is, I’m just glad to know that he didn’t come here to continue causing any trouble for you.” 

It still didn’t quite make sense to Yvonne, but the outcome was what was most important to her anyway. 

“Since you’re alright, I’ll be going back, then,” Yvonne said. 

Truthfully, Yvonne had already developed feelings for Felix. After all, during their parents‘ time, it was common for people to first get married before falling in love with each other. 

Of course, it was impossible for her not to develop any feelings for Felix after sleeping together once and occasionally spending time together like this. 

However, Felix was Xena’s fiancé, so whatever Yvonne did, she didn’t dare to harbor any hopes for their relationship. Unless Xena decided one day that Felix didn’t deserve her anymore and decided to call off their engagement, Yvonne would just stay put. 

Still, Yvonne would only go for Felix if Xena was also willing to return her freedom to her. 

On the other hand, Xena looked at Curtis lying in bed as her eyes turned wet with tears. 

“I’m sorry, Grandpa. I was unable to get my hands on the Miracle Card.‘ 

She hadn’t had the full confidence to get it in the first place. But when Moonshadow Alliance suddenly showed up halfway there, there was nothing Xena could have done. So what if she was the goddess of war? Moonshadow Alliance didn’t even see her as a threat. 

After that, Xena had tried talking to the woman behind Moonshadow Alliance, but she got rejected. She didn’t even get to see her. This was the first time Xena felt like a failure after becoming the goddess of war. 

Her phone rang. It was a call from Hector Downy, the Warlord of the East. Out of the Four Great Warlords, the Warlord of the East was akin to her mentor and lifesaver. She was who she was today because of him. 

“My lord.” 

“Xena, I know you’re feeling sorry for your grandfather, but let me tell you some news. I hope it’ll be of some help to you.”

News from Hector? Xena felt excited. After all, he was the Warlord of the East, so news from him would definitely be very valuable. 

“Thank you, my lord.” 

“Don’t thank me just yet. It’s still up to you, and this time it’s mostly dependent on luck. Seth Fingle, the fourth–best master healer in Dragonia, will be going to Avesburgh in two days to give out free treatments. 

“I’ll send you the address in a while. But I won’t be able to control whether or not he picks you to be one of his patients after that.” 

What? Seth Fingle? 

Xena gasped. As expected of the Warlord of the East–he could actually track down the whereabouts of master healers like Seth! 

Everyone in Dragonia knew that Seth would occasionally pick a random city to go to and choose ten “lucky” patients to cure them of their illnesses. However, nobody ever knew when or where he would pop up next, so it was practically impossible for anyone to guess beforehand. 

“My lord, whether or not we get chosen, your information on his next destination is already very valuable to me.” 

Hector chuckled. “It’s important to be respectful to your elders, and you’ve been doing a marvelous job at it.” 

As soon as the call ended, Xena received a message detailing Seth’s next destination clinic in two days. This was the same as getting the chance to be the first in line. 

Since the clinic Seth was going to was also a very well–known clinic among the locals there, naturally, there were plenty of patients who were already waiting their turn to be called. Xena would need a lot of luck to be one of the ten lucky ones called. 

Just then, her phone rang again. It was a call from Felix. Since Xena was in a good mood, she answered the call immediately. 

“Xena, the three chiefs of Dragon Alliance you’ve been wanting to meet are coming tomorrow. I’ll send you the address now. See you at 10:00 am tomorrow.”
