Jane's point of view.

"Mother, I told you he hates me." I sob.

"It's OK, honey. Everything will be fine. Always remember that I love you. You are my life, Jane.

***

The next day.

Mom called her sister Karen to tell her about me, as well as my situation and she welcomed me to come and live with her.

I was packing my bag when my mother walked into my room.

"Hi, baby, are you through with what you are doing?" She asks.

"Yes, mother. Everything is set. I am ready to leave this pack. I can't wait to leave and start a new life somewhere else," I told her.

"Good. Your aunt, my sister will probably be waiting for your arrival as well," she said.

After our short conversation. We both walked out of the room.

I saw my father sitting on the couch and slipping on his morning coffee. Good for him.

"Where are you going? He asked, eyeing the bag I am holding. "Where do you think you are going, Jane?" Did you ask for my permission before leaving this house? Answer me.

"Father, I think you never wanted me, so I don't think you are in the right position to be asking me where I am going." Please, father, let me go. I am fed up with living with people that despise me.

My father went silent. He was staring at me, and without uttering a single word. He stands up and heads to his bedroom.

"Father, I called after him."  "Father".

"Come back here. Jane. "Let him be," my mother said. Let's go. I don't want you to miss your bus.

"OK, mom". I reply as I followed her.

She drives me to where I will take the bus to her sister's place. Since I have no wolf, I have no choice but to go to her place by bus.

"Mom, I am going to miss you, '' Jane exclaimed.

"I will miss you more, my darling daughter," Mum replies, smiling. I hope you'll be fine. I hope you will find someone who will love and accept you for who you are."

"No. Mom, I don't need anyone in my life. No one is going to accept a girl like me. Don't you get it, mother? I have no wolf. I am woofless.

"Don't be sad. I know you will be fine. I am sure you are going to be happy one day.

Well, I think she's wrong. Mates are the worst, and your life will be a living hell if you are mated with a monster like my bastard mate.

"Well, I don't think mates are good, " I told her.

"Jane, have you found your mate? Amira asked.

"No. I have never met my mate and I don't think he is anything special. I spit out. "I would rather be mateless than be a victim of a bastard mate."

"What is wrong?" Why did I feel something was wrong? Why did I feel you already met your mate and got rejected.

"Tell me, is that the truth? We require it.

What? Did I already give myself out? It is no longer a secret.

"Yes, I already met my mate, but he rejected me as his mate. He even went as far as to humiliate me in front of everyone. Everything happens in the pack celebration, I told her.

What? She slammed the table. Who the hell did he think he was? Did he tell you the reason why he rejected you? She asks, again.

"Yes, because he thinks I am useless." I have no wolf. I responded.

"Just because of that?" That jerk is a bastard. "He doesn't deserve you, I promise to help you get your revenge when I get to meet that asshole," she promised.

"Thank you. I smile at her innocence.

Amira has been nothing but a great friend to me. I was loved and cherished by all the pack members in this pack. I felt love despite them knowing I had no wolf.

They never treated me badly. Everything is going on smoothly in my life. This place is my home. This place is what I call my home.
